About me

I am currently studying Textiles at A level as one of my three subjects. I began with GCSE Fine Art and through doing this for two years I decided it was time to expand and broaden my mind in new territory. For the past year and a half I have thoroughly relished my time studying Textiles. My portfolio shows drawing skills, photography, painting and working with 3D. Throughout the course I have found my greatest strength is not being afraid to work with bright colours and bold shapes. My reason for applying for this course is my passion for Textiles and Design. I have a desire to experiment with different ideas and techniques and to produce work to the highest level I can. I have a creative mind and going forward in this direction can only be advantageous to my future career.

Exam project (Rhythms and Cycles)

The ritual 'Day of the Dead' is a Mexian festival which I was thoroughly inspired by and wanted to investigate further. I produced the following work with an outcome of a 'Day of the Dead' tapestry.
